The objective of this session is to showcase several on-line learning modules that were developed as a result of an Ohio Learning Network Learning Community grant. Our focus was to develop modules that were pedagogically sound as well as appealing to the students. One module engages the students and guides them through a series of activities focused on critical thinking. Another module uses a series of video lectures and activities to teach statistics. A third module is a “virtual traveler” exercise for Spanish classes. Finally, there is a problem based module designed to help students locate and evaluate resources for a research question. These modules will be demonstrated and a short report on the successes/failures of our Learning Community will be presented.
