The presenter will demonstrate how commonly used productivity tools, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, can be used in uncommon ways to promote student thinking and interaction with course content in a technology-enhanced or distance learning class. Types of activities to be demonstrated include cloze concept maps, H-charts, Data Frames, and word sorting activities. Examples of assignments and tips for creating the activities will be given.
