Grove City College (GCC) has provided laptop computers and printers to freshmen students since 1994. For the 2004-2005 academic year, the first year of the second decade of mobile computing, the College provided each freshman with a Compaq tc-1100 TabletPC and printer, over 600 systems, complete with Microsoft’s OneNote. A small sample of faculty (17) received tablets as well.
This session will present the some of the dynamics of the introduction the tablet to the GCC community, particularly from the perspective of faculty and the instructional technologist.
