Pre-conference Workshop:

Not Just a Flash in the Pan: Making Interactive Learning Objects with Macromedia Flash

Andrea Han, Miami University Middletown

Date: Sunday, June 12, 2005
Time: 9:00:00 AM - 4:00:00 PM
Cost: $100

Description:

Incoming students are increasingly seeking technology based learning activities. While students were once content with a textbook, today's students expect multimedia web-based supplements to their face-to-face classes. Fortunately, Macromedia Flash is a fairly easy to use product that helps instructors create professional looking online course supplements. In the first part of this 6 hour workshop, we'll explore the basics of Macromedia Flash including creating animations and adding basic interactive elements. In the second part of the workshop, we'll look at Macromedia Flash Learning Interactions which allow educators to quickly and easily create engaging interactive online activities. Activities can stand-alone or be part of an online quiz and can even be integrated into LMS systems. Six activity types are available including true/false, multiple choice, fill in the blank, drag and drop, hot spot and hot objects. Learn how to create your own professional looking, online activities!
