Using MS Producer in a beginning programming course
  • Corrine Brown, Ohio University

After having attended a session on MS Producer at last year’s ASCUE conference, I wanted to implement MS Producer presentations into a beginning course. This session will demonstrate the screen capture functionality of MS Producer and how the functionality is being used to introduce programming constructs to beginning students. The feedback from students regarding the screen captures has been phenomenal. The capture technique is simple to implement, is appropriate for any skills building course, and does not require that the faculty member have a computer degree. The presentation will include examples of assignments and lessons learned along the way.
