Where is my Forensic Replicator (Lessons Learned in developing an Information Technology Lab)
  • Victor Williams, American InterContinental University

Information Technology Forensics is one of the most exciting careers in Information Technology today. To be able to teach a degree in the field of Information Technology Forensics it is necessary to develop good curriculum, effective courses and a well developed Information Technology Forensics’ lab. The lab should allow students to work with Forensics Technology equipment that is the state of the art. With the above in mind, the School of Information Technology purchase over 1 million dollars of Information Technology Forensics equipment for the degree program. This paper will cover the Information Technology Forensics equipment, how the equipment is used in the classroom, and lessons learned. The paper will also cover the Certified Information Forensics Investigator™ certification and how it has been incorporated into the Computer Forensics Degree curriculum. In addition, this paper will discuss how the certification has changed the outlook on Information technology and the field of law. You will be surprise.
