Young Harris College recently went though a telephony upgrade. Some of the reasons driving this where; a coming increase in OPX charges from the phone company, increase in student Cell phone usage, and decrease in resident hall phone increase, rising maintenance costs, needing to expand the administrative phone system, and freeing up some of the fiber network.
The discussion will cover the needs above in more detail and how the IP phone system met/attempted to meet these needs. I will also talk about things that in 20/20 hind sight I wish I had know 3 years ago.
