Description:
Are you spending too much time explaining assignments and course requirements to 30 individual students via e-mail? Have you wished for a clone to answer routine student questions and to dig through the 100 e-mail messages that greet you when you open your mail in the morning?
Participants will leave this session with a Computerized Teaching Assistant (CTA) that looks like a cartoon version of you and speaks with your voice from recorded sound clips. This assistant can reside on your faculty Webpage so that students can access it from anywhere with an Internet connection, or it can be e-mailed to students (it will be html format). It can provide information to students or just serve to greet viewers of your Web page.
Bring a print out of those “stock” responses that you cut and paste into e-mail replies, and we’ll help you convert them into dialog spoken by your CTA.
